  1. These are absolutely gorgeous. One, about half-way down, reminds of my years growing up in South Texas. It takes courage as an artist to expend energy and time on something that cannot last. The impermanence makes them all the more beautiful, though.

    1. Thank you! But corageous, I was not πŸ™‚ All of them are foam pumpkins. The first one I painted, 12 years ago, was a real pumpkin. I think I managed to shoot a pic or two before it rotted. After that, I only carve real ones and paint the fake counterparts πŸ™‚ Less heartbreak.
