In ENT we trust

Unexpectedly, yesterday, The Priest was picked up by Ereader News Today. I had entered my title in their database for the free-promotions slots a few weeks ago, and promptly forgot. Then yesterday morning I noticed The Priest’s downloads were growing at a rate short of miraculous, and I immediately checked ENT’s website—only they are capable of such results. I dug through the site a bit, and here it was Mauricio, buried at the end of the very last page of the suggested bargains and free deals, but very much alive and kicking.  At the end of the day, The Priest had been downloaded 691 times. At the moment, almost noon, it is sitting at 84 downloads. My sincere thanks to ENT for picking up my book and making, once again, my day.

Avocado chocolate pudding

WP_20140624_12_09_43_ProA few days ago, a friend of mine posted on Facebook a recipe for a lactose-free, gluten-free chocolate pudding. The ingredients piqued my interest, and since I had all of them in the pantry, I tried to make a batch. I made a few changes to eliminate unnecessary calories and the results were great.

Ingredients:

2 ripe avocados

3 dates (soaked in warm water for a few minutes)

1/3 cup cocoa powder

1/2 cup maple syrup

How to prepare the chocolate pudding:

Put all the ingredients in the blender and let it purée until you obtain a smooth cream. Refrigerate for an hour (or not—I ate it straight from the blender) and serve with fresh fruits. Enjoy.

The Priest Kindle Books and Tips Promo June 2014After a daily drizzle of downloads, no love on Goodreads, and one beautiful 4 star review on Amazon, yesterday I scheduled a spot with Kindle Books and Tips for The Priest.  Although my title was the very last on the page and people had to scroll down to find it, this is the result:
